You know why what you've built matters. I get everyone else to see it too, through the positioning, messaging and content that make you the obvious choice.
Brand, content and PR usually sit in different heads, or different agencies. I do all three, the strategy and the delivery, so the story and the words that carry it come from one place. Bring me in for one of them, or to lead all three.
Positioning, rebrands and the story underneath them. I find what genuinely sets you apart, then build the vision, narrative and messaging that hold up every time someone asks "why you."
Editorial systems and organic search that turn deep expertise into a voice buyers believe, and search traffic that turns into customers.
Original research and data stories that earn coverage, links and authority, the sort journalists actually want to cover rather than the press releases that get deleted.
Step in as your interim Head of Brand or Content when you need senior direction without a permanent hire. I set the strategy, build and mentor the team, and leave behind the systems to keep it running once I've gone.
Complex, technical or low-trust is where most marketing falls down, and where I do my best work. It shows up in B2B and in consumer, anywhere trust is the barrier. The expertise is usually there – what's missing is a brand that matches it, and the words to make people believe it.
I work the way a good senior hire does: close to the business, and hands on the work.
You get the strategy and the copy that carries it. I set the direction, then do the work, rather than handing over a deck and leaving.
I work alongside you and your team, in your meetings and your tools. The sharpest positioning comes out of the room, not from a report handed over and left.
I build things your team can keep running without me: messaging, templates, a way of working. The value should stay once I've gone.
I start with the foundation, not the tactics: positioning, vision, messaging and the brand direction they point to. Get those right and everything after, the content, the campaigns, even the hires, has something solid to stand on.
A few numbers from real engagements. In each, brand and content led to growth the business could count.
An AI grant-funding platform (#46 in the Sunday Times 100) growing fast with no vision written down and a brand that had fallen behind. I worked with the founder to define the vision, led a full rebrand on top of it, and built the content engine underneath.
A crowded category where women couldn't tell who to trust, built from a name and an idea in the founder's head. I developed the brand end to end, a credible, transparent voice people believed, then built the SEO and content strategy to carry it.
Two original-research campaigns built to earn authority the honest way. One tested how well people remember famous logos from memory; the other analysed 15 million leaked passwords for behavioural patterns.
I co-founded and ran the UK arm of a multinational growth and content agency, building a 20-person team from scratch and leading data-driven campaigns for names like Barclays and HSBC.
A strategist and a maker. I set the direction and do the work.
Over 14 years I've built brands and content across regulated and complex B2B, financial services, health and consumer, for names like HSBC, Barclays, Unilever and Superdrug, alongside scale-ups and founder-led consultancies in pharma, AI and fintech.
I've led from both sides: in-house, building brands from the ground up, and agency-side, running teams and major accounts, including co-founding and running the UK arm of a multinational growth and content agency. I'm based in Leeds and work remotely, on freelance and fractional engagements.
"Megan led our rebrand and content strategy during a major scale-up. Her work simplified a complex product, built credibility with time-poor founders, and created a brand people actually trusted. It directly contributed to our growth from £330K to £1.5M MRR. A rare mix of strategist and maker."
"Megan was instrumental in the launch of our website and brand. Menopause and women's health wasn't something she'd worked on before, but she quickly applied the experience and analytical skills she'd built in other sectors. Professional, straightforward, and clearly a subject-matter expert. I'd work with her again in a heartbeat."
"Working with Megan has been one of the best decisions we've made as a young company. She brought clarity, structure and real creative direction to our brand at a moment when we needed it most. She took our rough ideas and turned them into a clean, compelling website and a marketing strategy that actually reflects who we are and where we're going. She works fast, communicates clearly, and has that rare ability to understand the chaos of early-stage startups while still delivering polished, high-impact work. We'd recommend her to anyone looking for someone who can blend strategy, design and execution."
"I've seen Megan grow brands from zero to a million organic impressions and win and execute multiple six-figure contracts. One of the best marketing leaders I know: a sharp strategic thinker who's genuinely great with people, with deep expertise across content, brand and SEO."
